Whats Going On With the Mar Vista Green Committee

Our guest at the Green Booth at the Mar Vista Farmers Market on Sunday February 21st will be Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. Stop by to learn whether or not your cosmetics are safe.


Our Next Green Committee Meeting will be held on Sunday February 28th. If you would like to add something to the agenda, please email sherri@marvista.org by Sunday February 21st. The meeting will be held from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at the tables adjacent to the Green Booth at the Mar Vista Farmers Market. The agenda will be posted on the MVCC web site by Thursday February 25th. Please join us!

Check out the new additions to the Mar Vista Green Garden Showcase! We have 40 gardens signed up for the tour (so far!) and more coming in daily. We have 13 new ones posted already. Check out the map of garden locations. If your zone is under represented, help us recruit drought resistant or edible gardens in your neighborhood. Contact jeanne@marvista.org or sherri@marvista.org to nominate your garden.

We'd love your help! The MVCC Green Committee booth at the Mar Vista Farmers Market has hosted 29 guests in less than a year. Jeanne and Sherri have shared the task of being there at 8:30 each Sunday to set up the booth and introduce our guest to the community until we take down the booth at 2:00 and leave. It has been an amazing experience and we love doing it.....and we could use some help. If you share our passion for all things eco and enjoy meeting the community as much as we do, would you consider lending a hand? We're looking for volunteers to spell us from noon to 2:00 so we have a little more time with our families.
